My favorite, cozy, family (husband/wife and three kids) owned breakfast spot in Marin hands down! The staff is warm, friendly and service oriented. If you are lucky Nicole, one of the owners, will wait on you and she is the the best. The place is small, cute and kitschy; the classic local diner with excellent food and generous portions. I usually get a custom omelette but trust me, EVERYTHING on the menu is great. People rave about their Benedicts, the cheeseburger is legendary and the home fries and hash browns are crispy and delicious! I have been breakfasting here for almost two decades and it has consistently been wonderful and never disappointed. Any small, family place with ambiance, staff and food like this is going to be busy so on a weekend expect a wait. Counter, table and outdoor seating. Do yourself a favor - eat here and support a family business!

As usual, I found this breakfast spot on yelp. It's very small and you might have to wait. Luckily we only had to wait about five minutes. They have a pretty extensive menu and lots of food. I had coffee and it was OK. I ordered a waffle with blueberries and it did not disappoint. I ended up eating the whole thing and you get lots of blueberries. I also ordered a side of bacon, which was very good. My husband had a bacon omelette and he was thrilled because you could get pepper jack cheese. He is omelette and hashbrowns, and took his English muffin home. Pricing was average for the area and also most other breakfast places. Only one bathroom and it's way in the back you go through where everybody's cooking. The place was tight and intimate. You could eat outside, but it was raining a little bit and I didn't want to.

A brunch spot that takes you to what feels like another world. I came to this diner for the first time and loved the simple, diner decor. What was better was the service and the other patrons. I sat at the "bar" facing the chefs which was so mesmerizing to watch. Some locals at our seat spoke with us and we're so friendly! Then, the food was AMAZING. The quantity of food was so large but the quality was delicious. The spicy hollandaise is the best hollandaise I have ever had. Wish I lived closer to come more often, but I will definitely be coming back.

It's impossible for them to serve anything bad. They rock at everything they serve. Those waitresses work hard. It's very busy. But good atmosphere. Love it there. I probably have more photos but I have to locate them.

Marvin's is your hometown hole-in-the-wall breakfast spot. With friendly service and good quality food, it's a stable in Novato. Your coffee is regularly refilled. I tried the Julia Benedict and it was a nice combination with the corned beef hash. And got to love the crispy hash browns. It can be busy and packed on the weekends, so plan to be there early or be prepared to wait for a seat or table.

A wonderfully cozy little diner with yummy food and friendly service. I was seated immediately. There are both indoor and outdoor options. The service was prompt and staff were welcoming. The music playing was country, but I didn't mind even though I typically don't enjoy that genre. They have both breakfast and lunch options which are sold all day. I ordered the eggs and sausage breakfast. Everything was fresh and made to order. I enjoyed the coffee as well. While I ate I got unlimited refills on my water and coffee, which was appreciated. I wasn't able to finish my meal as I became too full! My second time I ate outside and had blueberry pancakes. I got the short stack (2) and they're massive! I could only finish half.

Highly recommend this place for brunch in the Novato Area. Their proportions are huge for brunch. I ordered a house omelette which comes with hash browns and potatoes on the side. It also comes with your choice of toast. The hash brown was still pretty crispy when it came out. Omelette was made pretty well and the house omelette including angus ground beef in it. I was super full by the time I finish. Service was excellent and there were bunch of outdoor and indoor seatings. I would definitely come here again.
